Saffron, a Colorful and Invaluable Plant or the Red Gold
There is a suitable opportunity to visit saffron farms of Torbat-Heydariyeh, Ghaenat and generally Khorasan Province which is known as The Land of Saffron. It is a great pleasure to visit the lands covered with pink flowers, to pick saffron in the beautiful sunrise and to pick blessing from beautiful lands of saffron.
This tour begins from Mashhad and we visited Mashhad in previous days. We travelled from Mashhad to Torbat-Heydariyeh and reached there after 2 hours.Harvesting time: harvesting is possible before sunrise and also after sunset.
After visiting the farm and the lands covered with pink flowers, we talk with farmers and eat cake, chocolate and saffron products and also help with picking saffron.
Also, Saffron can be purchased directly from the farmer. Then we have lunch by villagers and farmers in the saffron farms and directly buy saffron from saffron farms. We won’t lose the pleasure of drinking saffron tea and companionship in the style of farmers.
